Maybe the end of oppression doesn’t just lead to “liberation.”
Maybe the end of oppression means terrifying and soul-quenching intimacy.
Maybe the removing of pedestals, the ending of false hierarchies, the shattering of illusory supremacy, the ceasing of submissive posturing and compulsive dominance means we have to actually be in this moment, together, with our chaotic, fleshy, unknowable selves and paradoxical, multidimensional truths and breathe.
Maybe that’s why we keep doing this shit to each other.
Cause we’re scared out of our very bodies of it.
